Designed to cool and remove dust from silica sand. While the hot sand is fed into the FKS, air from the onboard fan is blown into the housing and is evenly distributed through the permeable bottom bed. This fluidizes the sand, allowing it to flow freely and behave like a liquid as it passes through a series of cooling tubes and zones. The fluid bed is filled to a maximum level before the sand exits the FKS, ensuring necessary contact time in each individual cooling chamber. A temperature probe monitors the outlet temperature and feeds information back to the upstream process. Fine dust is also removed from the sand and collected.
Each individual heat exchanger slides like a drawer from the side or the unit, allowing for easy access to the heat exchange elements and interior of the FKS.
